Klebsormidium flaccidum var. ZL01
Zivolife is not spirulina and it is not chlorella. It belongs to the Charophyte class, the evolutionary lineage that bridged aquatic life and land plants more than 500 million years ago. That lineage produces a bioactive compound profile that does not exist in other commercial microalgae.
Why it is categorically different
Spirulina is a prokaryote with no true cell wall and no land-plant biochemistry. Chlorella sits on a separate evolutionary branch. Zivolife is a Charophyte, the class from which land plants descend. The distinction is mechanistic, and it shows up in the compound profile.
What it means for a formulation
Meaningfully higher beta-glucan content than spirulina or chlorella, a complete plant protein profile with all nine essential amino acids, and prebiotic dietary fiber from a whole-food source, all in a single raw material.
